Community Action!!!
Thank you to all who joined us on November 7, at the Naples Pier
to show that as a community we do care. With the Coast Guard going
back on their word, every second that passes puts two lives at
risk. We will not turn our backs on the remaining two boaters.
Friday nights demonstration was a touching reminder of the unending
hope and a fantastic display of a community coming together. We
will have pictures from the evening soon.
Cake
Auction & Benefit Dinner A Great Success
The Rescue Three benefit dinner held last Saturday was an incredible
evening of information, support, and above all hope. The turnout
and response from the community was fantastic as was the silent
auction. Local television show Musca TV was there to film a segment
on the event and rescue effort which will be broadcast this Sunday
November 9th at 11:00 pm on UPN. All of the remaining items that
did not sell in the auction will be available again for auction
very soon on this web site. Please check back.
In addition to the benefit dinner, the cake auction held last
Sunday by the Boy Scouts of America was another incredible fundraising
event which finished off the weekend on a high and hopeful note.
Rescue Three would once again like to thank all of those that
made these events possible, and express our deepest gratitude
for the overwhelming community support.
Testing
and Research Boat
The test and research vessel similar to the missing boat,
“What’s Left” was delivered by Sea-Tow to Gary Lisk’s dock. At approximately
8:00 am ET, Sunday, October 26, 2003, the boat was towed and released
30 miles off of Caxambas Pass, on a 221 heading. This location was
in the float plan of the missing boaters. The boat, equipped with
tracking devices that were monitored by the USCG and by Rescue Three,
yielded a great deal of data before it went missing, presumably
stolen.
